Youth Works

Youth Works is a national charitable organisation and a successful partnership between Crime Concern, Marks & Spencer and Groundwork. The charity’s structure consists of a Board of Directors who manage and direct the progress of programmes assisted by the Central Development Team.

Central Development Team

The Youth Works Board is supported by the Central Development Team whose key responsibilities include :

  • Supporting existing Youth Works programmes and assisting local partnerships with development of new programmes
      
  • Evaluating, monitoring and maintaining the quality and success of the programmes
      
  • Developing and strengthening partnerships with existing and new organisations that can add value to the delivery of Youth Works
      
  • Maintaining a national marketing and communications strategy to ensure Youth Works gains a high profile amongst decision-makers, opinion formers and funders.

Crime Concern

Crime Concern

Crime Concern is an independent, not-for-profit crime reduction organisation set up in 1988. Its mission is to work with national and local partners to reduce crime and create safer communities.

The organisation provides technical assistance, training and project development services to Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships, Youth Offending Teams, Local Strategic Partnerships and other statutory and community groups. It also manages over 50 local community safety projects, many of which focus on tackling youth offending and reducing crime in high risk neighbourhoods.

Crime Concern champions equality, fairness, opportunity and progression for all.

Groundwork

Groundwork is a federation of nearly 50 local Trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland each working with their partners in deprived areas to improve the quality of the local environment, the lives of local people and the profitability of local businesses. Last year Groundwork encouraged volunteers of all ages to give more than, 300,000 days of their time to improve their neighbourhoods.
