Programme Description
Youth Works Egremont became an independently constituted community
organisation in May 2005 following the closure of the local Groundwork
Trust in the area. The programme is supported by Groundwork UK and the
national Youth Works Board as part of the Youth Works network across
England and Wales.
Youth Works Egremont is in a unique position of becoming the first
independent Youth Works programme in the UK. This offers Youth Works and
Groundwork nationally a valuable opportunity to develop the Youth Works
model in other areas and we will continue to support Youth Works
Egremont to ensure the long-term sustainability of the programme.
The Egremont Management Committee are pleased confirm that the
programme has been fully operational from 18 July 2005 and is now fully
financed until 2007.
